VersaFleet is a Transport Management Software (TMS) designed to digitise logistics operations, enabling businesses of all sizes to automate workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and scale seamlessly. It empowers users with tools to overcome the limitations of manual transport planning while managing high delivery volumes and last-mile complexities.
- VersaFleet Command and Plan (formerly just VersaFleet) is a desktop web app primarily used by Logistics Operators, Planners, and Controllers to plan and manage their transport.
- VersaFleet Drive (formerly VersaDrive) is a mobile app primarily used by drivers to receive and complete delivery and pickup tasks assigned to them
- VersaFleet Track (formerly Tracking) is a responsive web app for end users to keep track of the progress of their deliveries
- VersaFleet Demand (formerly MyJobs) is and mobile adaptive web app for Customers of Transport operators to upload, push and monitor tasks done by the Transporters in Command and Plan.
Some key customers of VersaFleet are IndoAgri (2019), Watsons Malaysia (2020), Asurion Singapore (2018) and Malaysia (2020), and FairPrice Online (2021).
Problem
Manual transport planning presented significant challenges:
- High Time Investment: Dispatchers spent hours manually assigning routes and vehicles, often requiring repetitive adjustments.
- Lack of Scalability: Manual methods couldn’t accommodate growing delivery demands or multi-stop routes efficiently.
- Inconsistent Outputs: Planning accuracy depended heavily on individual expertise, leading to inconsistencies in resource utilisation and delivery times.
- Limited Adaptability: Responding to real-time changes (e.g., traffic, last-minute orders) was cumbersome and error-prone.
For FMCG and distribution-heavy industries, these issues compounded due to high order volumes and strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
My Contribution
As the founding designer, I was responsible for:
- Designing VersaFleet’s core product experience to address key user needs and operational challenges.
- Working closely with developers to ensure solutions were implemented as expected and unblocking them as needed.
- Partnering with the Customer Experience team to drive change management, user adoption, and feedback loops.
- Collaborating with the sales team to explore product solutions that enabled potential upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
